Posing is a structured dance with muscle.

The Approach

Understanding why the sequence works, not just memorizing cues.

Amy's posing coaching goes beyond individual poses — it's about understanding why the sequencing matters and how each skill builds on the last. Competitors working with her get a system, not a checklist: the same structured thinking that comes from over a decade leading complex projects, applied to something just as high-stakes — the seven seconds you have on stage.

Why Learn To Pose Academy

I coach at LTPA. I still learn there.

Amy joined Learn To Pose Academy in 2023 as a student — a competitor who wanted to get better at posing. When founder Michele Welcome mentioned she was looking to bring on new coaches, Amy reached out. It was an easy yes: she'd found a system that made sense in a way a lot of posing coaching doesn't, and wanted to be able to deliver that properly to the competitors she works with.

That dual role — coach and student — is exactly why Amy recommends it. LTPA's weekly group classes build real skill and posing endurance across every federation and division, not just a run-through of cues before a show. Bi-weekly private Tune-Ups add individualized refinement alongside those classes, and the coaching team behind it includes working judges and multi-federation pro-card holders, so the standard is set by people who've sat on both sides of the score sheet.

Amy also leads a fourth Posing Pod — Balance & Core — alongside LTPA's existing weekly practice pods, giving competitors a focused, no-pressure way to build the stability and control that clean posing depends on.

Group Classes

Want ongoing posing work between 1:1 sessions?

Amy teaches Figure and Men's Physique posing through Learn To Pose Academy — a group class structure for competitors who want continued refinement, not just a one-off session before a show.

Learn To Pose Academy is run independently by founder Michele Welcome. Amy is one of its instructors. Group class enrollment and billing happen through the Academy directly, not through AKE.
